About me

City lit Awards 2023 (Philip Hardman Photography)
I am the programme manager of the music department at The City Literary Institute, London, where I am also the current staff governor.

My academic specialisation is in the history of early music performance, and I regularly contribute to Gramophone magazine and occasionally publish in various academic journals.

I have taught at King’s College London, Trinity College of Music, Dartington International Summer School, The Southbank Centre and The British Library; and written a very small amount for BBC Television on the BBC Proms. Please see my publications page for details of academic articles. The link to download my Phd is below.

Studying David Munrow

I gained my PhD from King's College London in 2014 entitled The Performance Practice of David Munrow and the Early Music Consort of London: Medieval Music in the 1960s and 1970s and was supervised by Professors Daniel Leech-Wilkinson and Emma Dillon.
